In my work, I aim to address the energetic undercurrent of life found in nature and dreams. Symbols and patterns fascinate me, as do animals and figures, all of which I explore in my sketchbooks. My sketches are referenced in my works on paper and paintings in which I layer oil, cold wax, acrylic inks, graphite, and other materials to form the final images.
